Miso Mushroom Pasta

Cook Time: 15 Minutes

  • 8 oz pasta of your choice, cooked
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. miso paste
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 Tbsp. Kikkoman Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. J-Basket Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. J Basket Organic Sushi Nori, shredded, plus more for garnish
  • J-Basket roasted white Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
  1. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until softened. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking until the mushrooms are golden brown.
  2. Make Miso Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together miso paste, vegetable broth, Kikkoman Soy Sauce, and J-Basket Organic Sesame Oil.
  3. Pour the miso sauce over the mushroom mixture in the skillet. Stir well to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for a few minutes, melding the flavors together.
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until the pasta is well-coated with the miso mushroom sauce. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp. Of shredded J Basket Sushi Nori into the pasta, mixing gently.
  5. Garnish the Miso Mushroom Pasta with more J Basket Organic Sushi Nori, sesame seeds, and green onions if desired.
