Mongolian Chicken


30 Minutes

  • 1 ¼ lbs. chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup + 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 ½ tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. minced ginger
  • 1 tsp. Dynasty Sesame Oil
  • ½ cup Kikkoman soy sauce
  • ⅓ cup water
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
  1. Add the chicken breast and ¼ cup of cornstarch to a resealable plastic bag. Shake until the chicken is fully coated.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over high heat. Add the chicken to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  3. Add the garlic and ginger to the pan. Cook for 30 seconds. Mix in the Dynasty Sesame Oil, soy sauce, water, and brown sugar. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Combine the remaining 2 teaspoons of cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of water in a bowl. Pour it into the pan and mix. Bring it to a boil and cook for 1 minute until thickened. Mix in the green onions, and enjoy!
