Sweet & Sour Crispy Chicken


Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

  • 1 lb chicken tenders, cut into small cubes
  • ½ onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Dynasty Sweet & Sour Sauce
  • 5 large kale leaves, washed, de-ribbed and chopped
  • ¼ cup cashews
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg, whites separated
  1. Wash and pat-dry the chicken. Then, cut into small cubes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and egg whites with a fork until frothy. Add the chicken to the mix and coat it well. Let that sit for a few minutes.
  3. Get your skillet and heat about an inch of vegetable oil on medium-high heat.
  4. Take your chicken out of the mixture and carefully place them into the oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy. With a slotted spoon, take out the chicken and let drain on some paper towels. Take the skillet off the heat and put the hot oil in a safe place.
  5. Using a separate pan or after you’ve removed the frying oil from the skillet, sauté the chopped kale for about 5 minutes, until it begins to soften. Then, remove that from the pan and place into a bowl or plate.
  6. Place dried chicken into a bowl with Dynasty Sweet & Sour Sauce. Add ¼ cup of cashews and mix well.
  7. In a bowl, place your chopped kale and drizzle in some olive oil. Massage it around with your hands, until the kale has softened. Place the kale down on to the plate and top it with the sweet and sour chicken and cashews. Finally, garnish the dish with thinly sliced chopped green onion.
